Spider-Man Makes Another Bad Advertising Choice

We know that Peter Parker is struggling with money. We also know that he's tried advertising before, unsuccessfully. Now, in an effort to alleviate some dire circumstances without tarnishing his reputation in the United States, it appears as though Spidey has joined the ranks of celebrities such as Tommy Lee Jones by lending his name for ads in Asia. Too bad he couldn't escape the blogosphere. Via Comic Mix, the Beat, and failblog here is Spider-Man requesting your presence at a water park...

There has been some mystery as to the meaning behind this ad. Here's my guess: Spider-Man is actually the villain. Using more powerful webbing that emanates from his behind, he's trying to steal the water slides directly from the park and take it back to the United States. The angry patron, however, won't have it.

If you thought the Spidey-mobile was bad, this is infinitely worse. If Peter's so desperate for money and is willing to debase himself, why not go back into the wrestling gig? At the very least, someone should get him a good publicist.

Readers, your thoughts are needed!!

  1. I think he's rescuing this disgruntled woman from an inferior water park. As she is responsible for making the poor decision to attend said park, she is only worthy of ass-web, which of course makes her even more upset.

  2. I'd like to know what's up with those flippers on Spidey's feet? Surely he'll move along a quicker pace without the aqua-gear.

  3. I like how Spidey didn't have the forethought to design his suit for anal-webbing.

This makes me think that he didn't plan on shitting out web while splashing around at a water park. Do spiders shit web when they get wet? Someone hit wikipedia.

And I can't tell if she's trying to help him or just afraid to go down one of the slides.
Spiderman: "JUST KEEP PULLING IT'S ALMOST OUT
Lady: *sob* I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

  4. SevenDollarPen - I would be happy for some ass-web.

Flippant - He's just getting ready for fun times at the park!

Bryan - Perhaps Spidey didn't know he could shoot webs out of there?

I could ponder the implications of this ad all day. That's why it's so brilliant.

Or perhaps you could possibly give us something to take a look at, something that might join what youre saying to one thing tangible? Just a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there will not be much good supply like this.
